(2015) This drawing was inspired, in part, by a line in the song "White Rabbit" by Jefferson Airplane.

In the Alice in Wonderland context, the rabbit hole allows for the simultaneous hiding AND seeking of the self. Working on this piece was frenetic with many starts and stops. Right in the middle of it I got dragged off into a different and more urgent "rabbit hole" to create my video project "Deliverable". But, there are no rules. Being carried off by one of your own ideas -- sometimes against your own will -- can be an intense form of servitude.

"Who are YOU?" said the Caterpillar.

This was not an encouraging opening for a conversation. Alice replied, rather shyly, “I–I hardly know, sir, just at present– at least I know who I WAS when I got up this morning, but I think I must have been changed several times since then.”
